Charged me for the whole year through free trial, I cancelled immediately and now they refuse to refund me. Robbers.

Signed up for a free trial and took a yearly payment right away from my account. Calling my bank and Best believe I'm getting my money back. Gonna report this app everywhere I see it and give this review on all platforms.

Signed up for a ‘free trial' of the weekly subscription ($4.49 pw), was then immediately charged for a yearly subscription of $110.99!?
I'm stood down from work due to COVID lockdown and am barely scraping by, so will now struggle to pay rent.
STAY AWAY FROM SPLICE!

I use was meant to use the trial version of the app and they charged me immediately. I could not find a way to cancel it and it’s been 3 months and my money hasn’t been refunded. 3 emails this week and no reply. Joke of a company.

I have 3000+ unused credits ,, if i cancel my subscription I loose all of these ....,, or if i pause my subscription I cant just use the 3000+ points that I have already paid for . ?? everthing is frozen until i set up repayment again... this is absolutly crazy .. You would want to be nuts to use this service for any vst rental payments , as a customer I should be able to do whatever the heck i want with my own purchased points .and in fact there should be a way to turn any unused credits into a refund if desired by customer .

Beware of automatic WEEKLY renewals that takes money from your credit card.

Once they got your bank info you are their hostage, You can expect to find out they charged you money for nothing while you are sleeping, SPLICE is a scam that just looks professional.

It's not bad. A couple ideas to improve it would be adding a section where you can buy sounds with your credits and the sound is no longer available for others. Maybe charge around 20-50 points for these to be yours only.
Also, I heard you lose all your points when you're no longer subscribed and you don't get them back, which is a total rip-off considering the reasons a person may have to stop paying temporarily.

I had this app awhile ago when it was practically free. You only had to pay for the sound effects. Now they want to charge me $2.99 a week, after I already bought this app years ago for $.99! That’s $12.00 a month...$144.00 a year! You can do the same thing on the free iMovie app! I would not recommend this app to anyone! Splice is a RIP OFF!

they have good sounds

After unsubscribing, It still opens up every time I turn on my computer. Had to find and delete every single Splice related file, there is no simple way to un-install. Also found a dev file with a bunch of "passwords", super dodgy.
